HB 1280 87r 'The Human Life Protection Act' , which protects unborn children from elective abortion
throughout pregnancy, went into effect in August 2022, shortly after the Supreme Court overturned
Roe v. Wade.

SB 31 89r 'The Life of the Mother Act' , to ensure that physicians and hospital attorneys receive
Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Legal Education on how Texas law works in practice.

​

SB 10 89r 'The Ten Commandments in Schools Act' , to be posted in all public school classrooms in a
“conspicuous place” written in a font that is legible.

​

SB 33 89r ' The Abortion Travel Bill ', relating to certain prohibited transactions and logistical support
between a governmental entity and an abortion assistance entity or abortion provider for the
procurement of an abortion or related services.

​

SB 12 89r 'Parental Rights in Public Education Act' , would prohibit any public elementary or
secondary school or state governmental entity from infringing on the fundamental rights granted to
parents by their Creator.

​

HB 4623 89r 'Public School Sovereignty Act' , waives governmental immunity for public schools in
cases specifically related to sexual misconduct or failure to report suspected child abuse or neglect.

​

HB 229 89r 'The Riley Gaines What is a Woman Bill' , establishes standardized definitions for terms
related to biological sex within Texas law.

​

SB 1233 89r 'Perinatal Palliative Care Bill' , ensures families facing a life limiting or fatal diagnosis for
their unborn child are informed of compassionate care options and support resources.

​

SB 13 89r 'No Harmful Materials or Books in School Libraries Bill' , relating to a school district's library
materials and catalog, the establishment of local school library advisory councils, and parental rights
regarding public school library catalogs and access by the parent's child to library materials.

​

SB 11 89r 'Coach Kennedy Bill' , relating to a period of prayer and reading of the Bible or other
religious text in public schools.

​

SJR 34 89r 'Constitutional Parental Rights Bill' , a constitutional amendment affirming the rights and
responsibilities of parents, restricting interference by the state or political subdivisions unless such

interference is essential to further a compelling governmental interest and is narrowly tailored to
achieve that purpose.

SCR 19 89r 'Texas Life Monument Bill' , authorizing the State Preservation Board to approve the
construction of a Texas Life Monument, celebrating the end of Roe v. Wade, at the State Capitol
Complex.

SB 2880 89r Relating to abortion, including civil liability for distribution of abortion-inducing drugs.
Voted out of the Senate, never heard on the House floor.

​

SB 1388 89r 'Thriving Texas Families Program' , continues its pro-life mission and excludes
organizations with legal connections to entities that promote abortion. The SB 1 Appropriations Bill
allocated $200 million total funding for the Program.

​

SB 20 89r 'Further Protecting Children Exploitation Bill' , criminalizing the possession, access, or
promotion of obscene visual material, real or created, that appears to depict a child under 18 years of
age in sexually explicit conduct.

​

SB 1278 89r 'Human Trafficking Victim Protection Bill' , create an affirmative defense to prosecution
for individuals who commit certain crimes while being victims of human trafficking or compelling
prostitution.

​

SB 958 89r 'Human Trafficking Victim Shield Bill' , aims to broaden eligibility to seal records to ensure
that individuals coerced into committing certain misdemeanors as a result of their victimization are not
burdened indefinitely by their criminal history.

​

SB 1212 89r 'Further Human Trafficking Penalties Bill' , expands and clarifies the scope of human
trafficking offenses and increases the penalties associated with certain types of conduct, particularly
those involving children and disabled individuals.

​

SB 1804 89r 'Further Human Trafficking Victim Protection Bill' , to require courts to order restitution
from convicted defendants to cover not only necessary rehabilitation costs (medical, psychiatric,
psychological) but also the cost of removing tattoos received as a result of force, fraud, or coercion
related to the offense.

​

HB 748 89r known as Trey's Law, proposed to make unenforceable any confidentiality or
nondisclosure agreement that restricts a party from disclosing information related to an act of sexual
abuse. Voted out of the House, never heard on the Senate floor.

​
