“Speaking during Saturday’s Town Hall meeting will be a HSI Victoria Special Agent who began their law enforcement career in 1998 with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office. In 2000 they transferred to the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services as a Senior Investigator for death & serious physical & sexual assault cases as well as high profile and long term child assault cases. In 2005 they were assigned the sexual assault coordinator @ Ft Sam Joint base. In 2006 they were hired as a U.S. Border Patrol agent and were assigned to the Texas Rio Grande valley. In 2015 they became a Special Agent with U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and assigned to HSI New York. In 2020 they transferred to the HSI Victoria office of investigations. In Victoria, they work cases involving drug, gun, alien and bulk cash smuggling, human trafficking and child exploitation cases.  The HSI Victoria office covers Victoria, Dewitt, Goliad, Lavaca, Dewitt, Calhoun and Jackson counties and works with state, local and other federal agencies to fulfill the HSI investigative mission in these counties and beyond. Please join us on Saturday to hear this speaker, as well as others, speak on these matters in and beyond our area.”

Also speaking this Saturday will be Hallettsville PD Sgt. Chris Hill. Chris served in the U.S. Marines from 2004-2008. He began his Law enforcement career in 2009 with the Victoria PD as a patrol office and later became a detective and certified digital forensic examiner in the VPD cyber-crimes unit. 

During this time Chris worked alongside the Victoria HSI cybercrimes task force and the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. 

In 2107 Chris began working with the Hallettsville PD where he is currently a patrol sergeant and a regional digital forensics examiner currently attached to the TX OAG ICAC task force and the U.S. Secret Service electronic crimes task force. Chris has investigated dozens child exploitation and sex trafficking investigations and continues to provide assistance to surrounding agencies with investigations and digital forensics. Additional speakers to be announced in following days.
